In case you didn’t get my August STEUER ARTnews…

Now that my 3+ year work frenzy is coming to an end (whew!), I’m excited to announce that the 14th edition of my Illustrator WOW! Book for CS6 and CC is now shipping! This was a huge collaborative effort and I am very grateful to everyone who contributed. (The eBook version will be available soon.)

In the newsletter you can find for more info about the book, including how you can order it at 35% off (or request comps if you’re a teacher, reviewer, or UserGroup host):

In addition to info about the book, the newsletter catches you up on a few other recent happenings, and you can sign up for future newsletters as well.

You’ll see more about my “Pet Cemetery” digital collage with watercolor pencil is on display downtown San Francisco within the “Falsework” exhibit at the Patricia Sweetow Gallery through Saturday (the piece is also featured in a review on “Art is About…”).

The newsletter also includes info on how to view my two “Artistic Painting” courses free on (you can also find that info here)—my second “Object-Creation Brushes” course contains live demonstrations working with some of the images in the new lllustrator WOW! Book.

Finally, the best way to keep in touch with me, and to stay up to date with the latest artwork and projects is to stop by my Facebook page.

Until the next post,

P.S. My latest post “Using an iPad as a Sketchbook” just went live on CreativePro. Using my artwork as examples I compare drawing on an iPad to sketching on paper with pencils, and to using a tablet to draw on the computer.
