As I roll towards the end of a really, really (really) busy time, I can finally send this update on what’s been going on. The biggest announcements are an update to the Adobe Illustrator WOW! series in PDF booklet form, and the release of the second in my two-part online video course on Artistic Painting […]
I apologize for the delay since the last post. Last week our beloved almost 18 year old cat, Bear, died. When her brother died a few years ago, Bear valiantly “stepped up” to help fill the void Puma left behind, but now with both them both gone… well it’s been a tough week.
Puma and Bear were fabulous beings. Very conscious and connected…
Our Bear the cat is all fur and bones now at almost 18, but she was once plenty “robusto.” In fact there was a period of time when we had to put her on a diet and called her “Little Lotta” (which you’ll get if you’re old enough to remember and were in the cultural […]
My brother Arthur and his partner Christina, have always been collectors of my weirdest paintings. One of my 0dd paintings (from a couple of decades ago) is hanging in their dining room in Brooklyn. Yesterday i joined my friend Laurie W at the Sketchers Meetup she runs at the Asian Art Museum. I took lots of photos, I’m looking for pattern brush inspiration… but I also did a few drawings—on paper! The first was on my iPhone with Adobe Ideas and my finger (I need a stylus if I’m […]
Ok… I’m going out on a limb here… faces on cans are one thing, this is an example of the figures I see… everywhere. Hopefully you’ll see what I see, and are willing to help me figure out the “proper arrangement” (and number) of images in order to tell the optimal narrative. Part 1 of […]
