Wrong Choice?

These activist doll portraits allow some of my more “disabled” and distressed dolls serve as proxies to ask taboo questions about genetic diagnosis and treatment. My digitized oil paintings are combined with hand-written digital text, and printed at large scale onto fabric as digital originals.

This series is being developed for an interactive multimedia art installation titled “For Our Own Good: How Genetic Surveillance Saved My Life and Destroyed Democracy,” where visitors will be invited to navigate issues surrounding genetic surveillance and medical privacy.
